WVIU Music Awards (WMA's)

The WMA's (WVIU Music Awards) is the country's favorite Independent Christian Music Awards Ceremony, which is held annually in November. During this time we get the opportunity to acknowledge and recognize WVIU Web Radio music artists as well as other Christian/Gospel artists, creatives, leaders, ministers, producers, songwriters, missionaries and those alike, for their heart for God, accomplishments and achievements throughout the year.

Our annual ceremony is usually hosted by our very own Station Manager, Tori Tellem !

We love giving Independent, New & Upcoming Christian/Gospel Music Artists the opportunity to showcase the gifts, talents, and abilities that the Lord has blessed them with! The WMA's is one of our biggest annual events in which we give new, up and coming artists the opportunity to get nominated and even win notable awards within the category that best fits them and their music ministry and or career...

WVIU understands that being an independent music artist is not always easy and that the music industry can be a tough road at times. With that being said, God has called us to be the voice for the minority (Independent Christian Artists) and to be that special encouragement for those who need it most!

WVIU Web Radio is grateful to be the next stepping stone for the indie artist, all while keeping Christ as the head of it all!

During the WMA's, we have LIVE performances by some of our incredible artists from WVIU Web Radio  as well as other anointed and well-known music artists!

Past WVIU events have included special guests and performances by notable names such as, but not limited to: the Mississippi Mass Choir, Miz Tiffany, Richard Lynch Band, the Georgia Mass Choir, and Grammy Award-Winning Gospel Legend, Rev. Dr. Milton Biggham as one of our special guest speakers! You DO NOT want to miss this year's ceremony!

During this time we also present awards to the nominees who have won in their category or categories. This is a family-oriented event that takes place during the FOFMI World Convention, the second week in November of each year (We will email you with the exact date, time, and location each year)...

If an artist (nominee) fails to accept their nomination by the deadline and if a nominee does not utilize the nomination acceptance confirmation methods provided to them via our WVIU email(s), they will automatically be disqualified from winning the award in which they have been nominated for, due to their negligence to accept their nomination properly. We cannot give a gift that has been rejected, so if an artist is unwilling to go through the proper channels to reply/accept their nomination, we cannot go over their desire to receive this honor.
